Overview

Ara-290, also known as cibinetide, is an engineered 11-amino-acid synthetic peptide modeled after the helix-B domain of erythropoietin. Much of the clinical interest focuses on peripheral neuropathies, including small-fiber neuropathy linked with systemic conditions such as sarcoidosis and type 2 diabetes. Trial metrics have historically monitored changes in pain perception, quality of life markers, and structural indicators such as corneal nerve fiber density.
