Reconstitution Steps

Overview

FOXO4-DRI, alternatively identified in preclinical literature as Proxofim, is an engineered D-retro-inverso peptide derived from the FOXO4 transcription factor sequence. Its synthetic design incorporates modified stereochemistry that grants resistance to enzymatic degradation, permitting extended stability within biological systems. The molecule has garnered significant scientific attention within anti-aging and senolytic research as a targeted pathway disruptor. Preclinical animal models indicate that FOXO4-DRI works by interfering with the intracellular binding between FOXO4 and the tumor suppressor protein p53. In senescent cells, this disruption releases p53 into the cytoplasm to initiate targeted apoptosis without damaging adjacent healthy, non-senescent tissues. Animal studies have observed improvements in physical performance, renal function markers, and coat density after senescent cell clearance. All existing investigations regarding FOXO4-DRI remain strictly confined to cellular assays and rodent models.
