Thymalin 10mg

A bovine thymic peptide complex investigated for immune modulation, T-cell restoration, and geroprotective effects in research settings.

Mechanism

Acts as an immunomodulatory peptide complex that supports T-cell differentiation and modulates gene expression related to cellular senescence and inflammatory signaling.

Dosing

Standard experimental protocols begin with a documented dose of 5 mg administered once daily during a 5- to 10-day cycle.

Reconstitution

Reconstituting a 10 mg vial with 2.0 mL of bacteriostatic water yields a research solution concentrated at 5 mg/mL.

Storage

Store the unmixed lyophilized powder refrigerated or frozen away from light, and keep the reconstituted solution refrigerated between 2 and 8 °C for up to 28 days.

Reconstitution Steps

  1. 1

Disinfect the rubber stoppers of both the Thymalin vial and the bacteriostatic water vial using sterile alcohol swabs and allow them to air dry completely.

  2. 2

Draw precisely 2.0 mL of bacteriostatic water into a sterile mixing syringe.

  3. 3

Introduce the needle into the Thymalin vial at an angle, directing the diluent gently down the interior glass wall rather than directly onto the lyophilized pellet.

  4. 4

Swirl the vial in a slow, circular motion until all powder is visibly dissolved without shaking or agitating the liquid.

  5. 5

Mark the vial with the preparation date and place it immediately into refrigerated storage at 2–8 °C.

Overview

Thymalin is a biologically derived peptide complex originally isolated from bovine thymus tissue, developed as part of the bioregulator framework by Russian researchers. Within preclinical and clinical research models, it has been primarily evaluated for its ability to counteract age-related immune senescence by stimulating T-lymphocyte differentiation and restoring balanced immune surveillance. Unlike continuously administered synthetic peptides, experimental protocols using Thymalin traditionally implement pulsed or cyclical regimens. The substance is evaluated in discrete multi-day blocks designed to stimulate endogenous physiological processes, followed by extended recovery phases spanning several months. Because the vast majority of literature on Thymalin originates from Eastern European trials without direct replication by Western regulatory bodies, it is not approved by the FDA. Laboratory investigations involving this bioregulator focus on characterizing its broad transcriptional influence and evaluating its potential impact on longevity and infectious susceptibility models.
