Reconstitution Steps

    Remove the Dihexa 10mg lyophilized vial and bacteriostatic water from cold storage and allow both to equilibrate to room temperature for 15 to 20 minutes.

    Disinfect the rubber stoppers of both vials using fresh, sterile alcohol swabs and allow them to air-dry completely.

    Draw exactly 2.0 mL of bacteriostatic water into a sterile mixing syringe.

    Insert the needle into the Dihexa vial and slowly dispense the diluent down the inner glass wall to minimize turbulent agitation.

    Gently swirl and roll the vial between your palms until the powder is fully dissolved into a clear, particle-free solution without shaking.

Dihexa (N-hexanoic-Tyr-Ile-(6)-aminohexanoic amide, also identified as PNB-0408) is a synthetic oligopeptide derivative of angiotensin IV engineered to address the rapid metabolic degradation typical of native peptide ligands. Designed for enhanced blood-brain barrier permeability and chemical stability, Dihexa serves as a primary reference molecule in preclinical investigations targeting neurotrophic activity, dendritic arborization, and synaptic plasticity. Preclinical studies indicate that Dihexa interacts with hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) to augment c-Met receptor phosphorylation and drive downstream signaling pathways, such as PI3K/Akt, in the central nervous system. In vitro and in vivo models demonstrate that this signaling facilitation can induce robust dendritic spinogenesis and synaptogenesis at picomolar concentrations.
